We are grateful for the opportunity to work with our amazing Outreach Interns! Murielle is our fall Intern, and we’re thrilled to introduce her as part of the MHC team. Her work is vital to connecting us with the schools, organizations/workplaces, and communities we serve.

Intern Spotlight: Murielle Codjia
Tell us a bit about you: Hi, my name is Murielle! I’m currently a junior at Boston University, majoring in Behavior & Health. I’m originally from Minnesota, and I’m passionate about Public Health, wellness education, and making mental health resources more accessible. On campus, I’ve served as the President of the West African Student Association. I currently hold the position of PR Chair of the Nigerian Students Association, and I’m a member of the National Society of Black Women in Medicine. I’ve worked as a student mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities, volunteered at local food shelters and churches, and currently work as a hostess in an Assisted Living Facility. In my free time, I enjoy photography, journaling, and content creation!
What made you want to become an intern with MHC? I was drawn to Mental Health Collaborative because of its mission to promote mental health literacy and create supportive communities. I want to be part of a movement that empowers people to not only talk openly about mental health but to take action and connect with resources.
How are you hoping to grow professionally in your role as an Outreach Intern? I truly hope to hone my communication skills and outreach skills by working directly with schools, organizations, and community partners. I’m extremely excited to learn how to engage diverse audiences and advocate effectively for mental health awareness.
What do you hope to do after graduation? After graduation, I plan to pursue a Master’s in Public Health and then attend Physician Assistant School, with a focus on epidemiology and community health. My goal is to combine clinical care with public health work to address disparities and expand access to mental health support.
