Mental Health Collaborative’s Mental Health Community Needs Assessment revealed that community members are interested in mental health education for students, parents, and educators. The study also showed that 20% of community members are less likely to obtain mental health care due to stigma. Mental Health Literacy will help to decrease stigma and open conversations about promoting mental health and treating mental illness with best evidence-based care.
Mental illness does not discriminate and we all need mental health literacy.
